Street artist Posterchild performance

Filed under: Humor — Suramya @ 8:21 PM

From Wikipedia:

Posterchild is the nom de plume of a street artist based in Toronto, Canada who may be best known for his Mario Blocks project, the purpose of which is to install homemade Mario blocks in public spaces. After being featured on Boing Boing the project has expanded as others have made and hung their own blocks.

In his latest work he attached plant labels to neglected planter boxes to encourage municipal authorities to do some real gardening.

Below is a sample of the labels they created:

Doctor Who Quotes

I love watching Doctor Who and reading Dr Who books. While surfing the web I found this site that talked about the most famous Dr Who quotes. So I did a little search and found some more. Here are some that I really liked:

“I just put 1.795372 and 2.204628 together.”
“And what does that mean?”
“Four!”

– The Doctor and Romana, in “The Pirate Planet”

“There’s a corpse by the wood.”
“What sort of corpse?”
“A dead one what other sort is there?”

From “Image of the Fendahl”

“You look very nice in that dress, Victoria.”
“Thank you. You don’t think it’s a bit, uh –”
“A bit short? Oh, I wouldn’t worry about that. Look at Jamie’s.”

The Doctor and Victoria, in “Tomb of the Cybermen”

(Jamie is a Highlander and wears a kilt)

More quotes are available on the following sites:

Nice Chair…

Filed under: Humor — Suramya @ 5:00 AM

This is a chair that is built out of cactus plants. Why someone would make something like this I have no idea. But it looks cool. Though I would not want to try it out.

If I had this chair I would cover it with a cloth cover and wait for unsuspecting folks to try and sit on it. 🙂

Nice advertisements by Shoppers Stop

Shoppers Stop has some really nice advertisements. So I took pics and wanted to share them with you. Although what they have to do with Shoppers Stop is still a mystery to me but they are certainly eye catching and memorable so I guess they server their purpose.

I had blogged about their advertisements earlier.
