As of 30th Nov 2025, we have <strong>electrified 99.2% of the tracks in India<\/strong> putting India at No. 2 in the world after Switzerland which is the only country in the world that has achieved 100% electrification. <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.suramya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/img_1_1767018646670.jpg\" alt=\"Indian Railways go almost fully electric with 99.2% of tracks electrified\" \/><br \/>\nIndian Railways go almost fully electric with 99.2% of tracks electrified.<\/center><\/p>\n<p>In 2014 only 21,801 km of tracks in India were Electrified. As of 30th Nov 2025 after a multi-year sustained effort <strong>69,427 km of track out of 70,001 km<\/strong> have been successfully electrified. This leaves only <strong>574 km remaining<\/strong> all of which are currently in the process of getting electrified.
