Some of the laws might have been repealed since 2001 but I am not too hopeful as that would indicate that politicians gained some common sense.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the laws sorted by region. The stuff in ()&#8217;s is my commentary on the laws<\/p>\n<p><b>Florida<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In Florida it is illegal to jog with your eyes closed.<br \/>\n   (One too many must have jogged into an obstacle.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Maine<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is illegal for a Police Officer to tell a person to have a nice day after pulling that person over in a car<br \/>\n     and issuing them a ticket.<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<li>After January 14th you can be charged a fine for still having your Christmas decorations displayed.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>You may not step out of a plane in flight.<br \/>\n     (Like someone would like to&#8230;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>New Hampshire<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You may not tap your feet, nod your head, or in any way keep time to the music in a tavern, restaurant, or cafe.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>You cannot sell the clothes you are wearing to pay off a gambling debt.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>It is an offense to check into a hotel under an assumed name.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>On Sundays citizens may not relieve themselves while looking up.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>If a person is caught raking the beaches, picking up litter, hauling away trash, building a bench for the<br \/>\n     park and many other activities without a permit, he\/she may be fined $150 for &#8220;maintaining the<br \/>\n     national forest without a permit.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>New Jersey<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> It is against the law to &#8220;frown&#8221; at a police officer.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> It is illegal to delay or detain a homing pigeon.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> You may not slurp your soup.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> To keep them from forming bad habits, it is illegal to feed whiskey or offer cigarettes to animals at the<br \/>\n      zoo in Manville, New Jersey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Oregon<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is legal to smoke marijuana on your own property! You just can&#8217;t sell it or buy it.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>Patients do not have the right to know the details about any written or oral discussion of their medical<br \/>\n     treatment that is not recorded voluntarily in their chart by the nurse or doctor.<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<li>One may not bath without wearing &#8220;suitable clothing,&#8221; i.e., that which covers one&#8217;s body from neck to<br \/>\n     knee.<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<li>It is illegal to use foul or suggestive language during sex.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>You may not pump your own gas in service stations.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>Canned corn is not to be used as bait for fishing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>South Carolina<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a capital offense to inadvertently kill someone while attempting suicide.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>Merchandise may not be sold within a half mile of a church unless fruit is being sold.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>By law, if a man promises to marry an unmarried woman, the marriage must take place.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>All schools must prepare a suitable program for Francis Willard Day so that children may be taught<br \/>\n     the evils of intemperance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Utah<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A husband is responsible for every criminal act committed by his wife while she is in his presence.<br \/>\n     (A good way to get your husband in trouble)<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<li>You cannot have sex in the back of an ambulance if it is responding to an emergency call.<br \/>\n     (Was it such big a problem?)<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<li>It is illegal not to drink milk.<br \/>\n     (Mother&#8217;s would love to live over there)<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<li>Throwing snowballs is a fineable offense in Provo.\n<p><\/li>\n<li>Women are prohibited from swearing in Logan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Washington<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> You cannot buy meat of any kind on Sunday.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> Lollipops are banned. (What!!)\n<p><\/li>\n<li> It is illegal to pretend that one&#8217;s parents are rich. (Not fair!!)\n<p><\/li>\n<li> It is illegal to carry a concealed weapon that is over six feet in length. Seattle, WA<br \/>\n     (Just how do we conceal a weapon over six feet on ones body??)<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<li> Dancing may not occur in the same establishment where alcohol is sold and consumed. Lynden, WA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Assorted Laws:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> In Phoenix, Arizona the law states that every man who enters the city  limits must wear pants.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> In Hackberry, Arizona there is a law that prohibits women from eating raw onions while drinking buttermilk on<br \/>\n      Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<li> In some parts of the south USA, a widow or divorced woman isn&#8217;t allowed to dry her underwear on the front<br \/>\n      porch or on a clothesline before the sun goes down.<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<li> In some parts of the south, women aren&#8217;t allowed to eat pickles with their feet up on porch railings.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> It is illegal to mispronounce the name of the state of Arkansas while within the state.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> The state legislature passed a law that the Arkansas River can raise no higher than the Main Street bridge in Little Rock.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> In Willowdale, Oregon no man may curse while having sex with his wife.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> It is illegal to eat oranges while bathing in California.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> In Kentucky, it is illegal to carry an ice cream cone in your back  pocket.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> In Fairbanks, Alaska it is illegal to give beer to a moose.\n<p><\/li>\n<li> Venice has a &#8220;Pee-Pee&#8221; Tax On Tourists :<br \/>\n                In a bid to tap deeper into its rich stream of non-resident revenue, the watery city overtaken<br \/>\n      by millions of visitors has introduced a &#8220;toilet tax&#8221;- a steep surcharge on the price of using public<br \/>\n      lavatories.
